At Don’t Write Me Off Inc., we believe that every child, no matter their circumstances, deserves to be seen, heard, and supported. We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering foster youth, adopted children, and children living outside their biological homes. Our mission is to inspire, uplift, and break the negative stereotypes surrounding foster care, ensuring that every child knows they are more than enough.
Our Commitment
Foster youth often face a world of instability and emotional pain, but we are here to change that. Our programs provide a safe space where children can heal, grow, and discover their true potential. Through mentorship, creative arts, and life skills development, we offer children the opportunity to express themselves, build resilience, and develop the confidence they need to thrive.
What We Offer:
Empowerment & Mentorship: Connecting each child with a mentor who can guide, support, and help them unlock their potential.
Creative Expression: Encouraging artistic outlets such as music, art, dance, and writing to help children process their experiences and express themselves authentically.
Life Skills & Education Support: Fostering a love of learning, promoting education, mental health, and counseling services, while equipping youth with the tools they need to succeed academically and emotionally.
A Home Away from Home: No matter where life takes them, we provide a constant source of support, ensuring that foster children, adopted children, and those living outside biological homes always have a safe space to call their own.
Support Groups for Trauma Victims: Creating a safe space for those affected by trauma to share, heal, and grow together.
Support Groups for Foster and Adopted Children: Offering a community where foster and adopted youth can connect, heal, and share experiences with others who understand.
At Don’t Write Me Off, we’re more than just a program, we’re a family. Our commitment to providing each child with a sense of belonging, stability, and unconditional support makes us a home outside of their home. Our motto, "I am more than enough," is a daily reminder that no child is ever forgotten, overlooked, or discarded.

By the time foster youth are 24 years old, only half of them will have stable and steady employment. The same percentage develop substance abuse.
In comparison to veterans, foster youth are twice as likely to suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder.
1 out of every 2 foster youth has dealt with 4 or more adverse childhood experiences.
51% of all foster youth graduate high school.
